Mr L Popescu has studied with world-class
international soloists at the Royal College of Music
(London) and at the Birmingham Conservatoire, winning
several instrumental prizes in both venues. Mr Popescu
divides his versatile musical career between private
teaching at the highest level, chamber music, giving
recitals and freelancing with some of the biggest
orchestras in the UK and abroad. Mr Popescu has played
with several internationally renown orchestras such as
London Philharmonic, The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic,
The City of Birmingham Symphony and has led the viola
section of the RTE Concert Orchestra (Dublin) for over
six months in 2008. Mr L Popescu is CRB-registered and
is currently also teaching part-time for the Birmingham
Music Service.
Mr Popescu teaches at home or is
he willing to travel throughout the Midlands at special
requests.
