Carlo Bergonzi’s instruments are extremely rare and rank
just behind Stradivari and Guarneri in significance.
Little is known of Bergonzi’s life but elements of both
of the great masters can be identified in his work as
well as evidence showing a connection with the Rugeri
family.
Handmade and hand varnished violin.
Available in One or Two piece back in selected
highly figured maple with matching ribs and scroll;
table in two pieces of selected spruce of narrow grain.
Hand applied varnish with an antiqued aspect.
Rosewood pegs with Paris eye, matching tailpiece and
chinrest.
Fitted French Despiau bridge and fitted
