About Us -The Sound Post Ltd United Kingdom
The Sound Post Ltd was founded in London in 1993 by the
late Stephen Jocelyn, a professional cellist, who wanted
to improve the quality of student instruments available
in the UK.
The Primavera range was introduced
in 1995 and revolutionised the student violin market, by
introducing for the first time styrofoam cases and
tailpieces with integral adjusters as part of the outfit
as well as a much improved quality of workmanship in the
student violin.
The Primavera (P200) was chosen
as the Best Bowed instrument of 2005 at the MIA Awards
and this achievement has been followed up with the Best
Medium Sized Supplier Award for 2007, 2008 & 2010.
Mayflower Farm
Codford St Peter, Wiltshire,
United Kingdom
Formerly an officers mess during the Great War and
latterly used for livestock until the early 1990s,
Mayflower Farm has been rejuvenated as offices and
warehousing space. The layout and facilities have
specifically been designed to further improve our
service to our customers.
Mayflower or Trailing
arbutus (Epigaea repens). Traditionally the first bloom
of spring. For the Mayflower Pilgrims it was the first
sign that their first hard winter was over in Plymouth,
Massachusetts. By pure coincidence our flagship brand is
Primavera (spring).
